My First Funeral Accepted into National Film Festivals
We are excited to announce that "My First Funeral" has been accepted to the 11th Annual Burbank International Film Festival AND the Iowa Independent Film Festival! MFF will also be shown at the UFVA Conference: Screenings and Script Submissions this summer!

UNW Students Collaborate to Create Fall Film Project
This October, students and faculty will work together to create a short film called “My First Funeral.” Professor of Communication Ann Sorenson will be leading the project and directing the film.
Sorenson said that she did not write the script herself, but her friend Sara who is a writer and photographer drafted the script.
